Heritage Christian Church to Host WinShape Day Camp in July

Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville will host WinShape Day camp for the 10th year, July 10 to 14th. Kickoff Week is March 12 to 19th during which time registration will be open. Families are encouraged to register early as camp filled up last year. Heritage hosted 530 campers in 2016 which was a record number and the max for camp.

WinShape Camp is a weeklong day camp experience for all completed first through ninth graders. Cost is $209 for a full week of camp. A deposit of $50 is due upon registration.

This year’s theme is “All” (heart, soul, mind and strength). When Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest, He said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30). Jesus’ answer helps us understand that the one thing worth our all is loving God.

Our excitement for things like sports, video games, or music comes and goes; our passion for these things may grow or lessen based on seasons, updates, or debuts. There are times we are just more on fire than others. During WinShape camp, campers will learn to solve the mystery and see what could happen in the world if even a small number of us went all in with their commitment to God and endeavored to passionately live out Mark 12:30.

The day camp is 7:45am-4:55pm, Monday through Thursday with a Chick fil A Family Fun Day (featuring lunch provided by Chick Fil A) on Friday, 7:45am to 1:15pm. Winshape Camp aims to connect children in local communities with an awesome camp experience. It combines sports and recreation, arts, Bible study & worship for a truly unforgettable week of life change.

Campers can choose three skills from over 21 skills: archery, basketball, cheerleading, crafts, dance, fast food, flag football, girl world, gymnastics, lacrosse, leaders in training, man land, musical theatre, newsroom, painting, secret ops, soccer, wacky science, yard games, sew much fun and under construction.

They provide a professionally trained staff to help create a meaningful, fun filled day camp experience that you’ll find anywhere and right at home in your own community.

S. Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A, Inc., started WinShape Camps in 1985 with the hopes of creating a camp experience that would offer kids fun, adventure, lasting friendships and a closer relationship with God. Since then, thousands of WinShape campers have enjoyed the amazing programs at WinShape Camps.
