Red, White, and ‘Que: Georgia’s History Through BBQ

Join us as we welcome Dr. James "Trae" Welborn, Professor of History at Georgia College & State University, as he shares the long multicultural history of this evolving culinary tradition from its earliest indigenous settlement through the European colonial era and across Georgia’s 250-year statehood. These stories are Georgia stories, and Georgia stories are American stories. So what better way to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States than to savor one of the original 13 states’ culinary cornerstones: barbecue?
